T - Cat

On our last outing to the village / Taurus we were chatting to Diana about pets.

After having 3 female cats who all came to sad endings we currently have a boy cat rather un-imaginatively named 'Tom'. Kate found Tom as an abandoned kitten and he was immediately adopted by us.

Tom is a very friendly and affectionate Tabby and really not your typical 'tomcat' (he is not into staying out all night - and prefers to curl up on his favourite blanket and be fussed over).

A point which caused much amusement one sunny afternoon when he sauntered down to the end of the drive to await the affections of passing school children. I was doing a bit of weeding and two little girls spotted Tom and made a bee-line for him - stroking and fussing him. Tom was in 7th catty heaven then one of the little girls said 'isn't she lovely? What's her name? I had to enlighten her that 'she' was called Tom and was in fact a he.

In our household even our cat is passable!!!
